So a buddy of mine was telling me that he heard that one of the best things you can do for a mach1 is to put the ford gt (GT40??) heads and cams in the mach1.

Is that possible with out modifying anything? the mach 1 is a 4.6L and im pretty sure the ford gt is a 5.4L. Can you put the gt head and cams in the mach? and if so, what mods do you have to make?

And where can you get gt head and cams? cuz i looked everywhere for them and cant find any.

Any help is appreciated guys. Im in the learning process right now just trying to soak in as much info about the machs as i can. thanks guys!

Use the search function and troll around on the forums for a while picking up useful bits of info. I don't own a Mach so I don't know the answer to your question, but it's safe to say anything you (being a new guy or not) can think to do on a mustang has already been done at some point.
So search around and you may find your answer.

I have never heard of that in my life lol, but I may be wrong? One of the best things you can do to a stock Mach, and anyone here will tell you this, install 3.73 or 4.10 gears! The Ford GT theads and cams make no sense, the heads on the Mach flow amazingly and cams dont provide very much of a gain from what I have read. Do some research. Hopefully someone else will chime in here...

GT cams have been done, but our heads are some of the best flowing (up until the new 5.0) in production. 233 @.500

the reason you can't get the GT heads is because they're on you car already lol. the cams save your money on. buy some 96-98 cobra intake cams (degreed 6-8* advanced) and do a full exhaust/ bolt on car...have 330rwhp and call it quits.

In short your friends doesn't know what he is talking about.
