I've had my 04 Mach 1 for about a month now and wanted to change the oil but I wanted to do it myself. Im unsure of what type of oil to use and what type of oil filter to use. I want to use the best stuff for my car to make her last longer. any help is appreciated.

I prefer redline fluid and motocraft filters. as stated check the oil threads and you will find tons of information and opinions.

 

Im confused as to why this is in the Mach 1 section...but i would use AMSOIL filters and oil

 

takes 6 qts of 5-20 of your brand of choice. I use motorcraft synthetic blend and a motorcraft filter. you'll need a 5/8" or 16mm socket.
