I wouldnt say good his best was a 13.0 at 105 thats good but, we both should have ran faster. but I went backwards once i bolted them on I tryed to slipp the clutch but as soon as I hit 2nd wheel spin and I mean lots of wheel spin and wheel spin in 3rd and the backend steped out when I hit 4th at about 100mph!!!!!

Ya no way those tires were to blame. They only had I think 5 passes on them and pretty much full tread left. Slipping in every gear is bad track prep.

yeah I'm not blaming the et streets I was just very dissapointed when I had them on but overall I did improve my best by .2 and 2mph with a sct can tune and an o/r x(leaking o/r x by the way..errrrg). Yeah as for the track at one point with the slicks on I had just done my brun out and was treeing up and the guy was out in front of me spraying track prep! I dont think it had a chance to dry at all cus once I got to where it was my good launch I had going at that point was totally worthless cus it was instant wheel spin.

I call bad track prep as well. It can be combated to an extent. Changing driving style and tire psi is something I pay very close attention to after listening to other's commenting on how the track is doing and for sure after my 1st run. I run as high as 26 psi if the track is feeling top notch, and as low as 18 is the track is absolutly crappy. What psi were you using and how were you leaving on the DRs?

Tire psi was at 14 on the et streets and I was ruinnin 30psi in my street tires.
I was talking to a guy at work and he has an 8sec trans am car he said I may have not done a good enought burn out I was only doin it in 1st my budy was doing it in 2nd he said it may have need to go to 3rd to get the wheel speed up enough to get them tacky enough. that would at least explain why he was running 1.8's all the time and I couldnt get a faster than 2.4 with them.

that is also a possibility, but 1.8's are absolute garbage with a sticky tire...if i did very minor suspension mods i would cut 1.8s on street tires leaving at 5k. So it could very well be driver error and poor track prep.

rebel: Im not saying Im the best driver, so the driver mod could have certinally helped! It was also the 1st time down the track with any sort of slick/sticky tire. so more experience would have helped. Also the super soft side wall was DIFFERENT to drive on the back end was SUPER lose so when the back end would step out the car would wobble back and forth as I tryed to keep it going down the track. It was kind of unnerving to say the least.
lol
