Tire behavior is much less stable with very low psi which leads to the super loose handling you're speaking of. Lowering psi moderatly can help traction but going that low can hurt it, just my experience anyways. It also absolutly KILLS mph. I'm running 20-25 psi on hard-wall ET street radials. From what I'm reading, you should increase the psi to 20, a good 2nd gear heat up with every pass, and practice consistent controlled launches. You're on your way man. Just have fun progressing, that's the best part. Until it gets harder to progress w/o another mod ofcourse, then it starts to suck.

I went to Tri State Raceway in Earlville It's on US 20 between Waterloo and Dubuque.
Also on the tire psi note my buddy had dropd the psi to 10!!!!!! WTF before I made my runs on them I thought they were still at 14. lol
