Default What will I run?

Finally able to make it to the track tomorrow since putting on the LTs. Let's see who's got optimal knowledge as to how fast a Mach can go given ideal conditions and a certain combo of mods............ahem, who's got mad guessing skills. Last trip to the track was a record setter for me, ran 5 runs in the 12.30s with 2 being 12.304. However, that was with an o/r X pipe and I've since installed longtubes and catted X. Temps will only reach around 50 so sounds like good power. Shooting for a 12.19 or better but we'll see how she goes. Will get a vid posted for your viewing pleasure if I can.

If thats the only thing thats changed Im calling 12.20-12.30. I doubt LT's and mid pipe change will make a difference.

I'd say 12.22ET. As much due to decent weather conditions as the long tubes with the swap to catted mid-pipe.
Let us know how it went...

60'.............1.695
1/8 mi.........7.780 @ 89.58
1/4 mi.......12.150 @ 112.68

I don't know if I should be elated or mad. The LTs helped! Among a slew of 12.3s w/ short times hurting from a cold track, I ran a best of 12.150 @ 112.68. The 1.69 60' matched my best so I thought I'd reached the threshold for what the car can do with it's current mods. But on my last run of the day I launched a 1.66, only to be wasted by somehow missing 2nd gear, lol. Boy was I mad, I knew I wasted a good one. Using the tenth/2 tenth rule, the car might have a 12.0x on a perfect run. Man I don't know, just frustrated. None the less mission accomplished. Here's an in-car vid of a 12.31 pass. Didn't come up with the tie-up-camera-to-the-visor trick until later in the day.

thx alot man. Was running the 12.3s before the LTs so the 12.15 was the only one that really fired me up. Baby steps, lol.

I am just flabbergasted on how you pull those times off in your car, just great driving. Like some members here have mentioned, get your mach dyno tuned and I am pretty sure you will reach 11's.

it's impossible to put an exact number on how much good air quality and a good track help out, but I have both. MIR is known for being a fairly fast track, elevation is somewhere around 60' and it's always well prepped. Also, I've pretty much stopped running in hot muggy conditions, there's just no point in running a half second slower.
