Smile New to Maryland (again)

Have Florida tags, yet to change to Maryland... but will supercharging the 07 GT make it harder to pass inspection? They even allow supercharged vehicles to pass?

This whole inspection thing is a downer. Any pitfalls?

Thank you fellas

Maryland doesn't do yearly inspections

You have to have the car inspected one time, that is after you get the license plates, you have 10 days. After that the only time it is inspected is emissions, which S/C's do not affect

Car inspections are only performed when selling/trading the car and it is the resposibility of the owner selling the car or the dealer.

If you get atgged for tint, the state police cna force you to get an inspection, but S/C' are not prohbited

MD does the OBDII plug in EMissions Fee $14.00, that willc ome up within 30-60 days after you get your inspection.

I think this varies a little bit, depending where you live in Maryland. I live in Western MD (Allegany county), and we do not have emissions at all. Neither does Garrett county, and I'm unsure about Washington.

Just an initial inspection when you purchase or move into the state.

It does, it is every 3 years, mostly in the Urban population centers/counties (Montgomery, Prince George, Howard, Baltimore, Washington, Fredneck errr, Frederick, Anne Arundel)

Inspection only happens when you transfer a car from another state, unless it is NEW, or if you get cited for Tint, then you have to have it removed and take it to an inspection station ($69-$99). Frederick cops are the worst for citing people for tint, their Sheriff's department are a bunch of wannabe thugs with badges. Yet they're more of an agricultural county.

All state Speed Cams give you an 11mph leeway. once yu hit the 12 and above mark... SAY CHEESE. Montgomery and Prince George's counties are speed cam central.

MVA fees are $128 every 2 years for vehicles weighing less than 3700lbs, $180 for vehicles over it.

I think Poolesville is the speedcam capital of the state.
