I hate 495 so much.
Same here. My hood and front bumper are already chipped like crazy. Unfortunately, I commute to work just before rush hour (4pm) so it's impossible for me to leave a lot of space in front without becoming a rolling road block myself. There's just too many cars out at that time.

(Sorry if all the hoods are like that and im just dumb)
If it's fiberglass, it's not the factory hood, those are all aluminum. It's possible it could have been replaced at some point. There are companies that make stock looking 'glass hoods.

It's sort of a 50/50 deal on a stock style hood. 'glass would be somewhat heavier than the factory aluminum (which is pretty light), but you wouldn't have to sweat the corrosion/paint bubbling issues common with the factory hood.

I think they re-sanded the roads during the last rain we got (about a week ago) since it was down around freezing. I really got nailed going to RI last weekend. I found the best way to touch up is the liquid touch up brush (a few dab-dry-dab-dry cycles to fill hole completely) and then a credit card under a soft t-shirt material with polish a day later. I never liked the clear bras, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm going to look into them. Anyone have any experience or recommendations for them?

I never liked them either, but for some reason road debris seems to be on the upswing. I guess they're starting to seem less objectionable to me.

On a totally unrelated topic, just got word from Roush that they're shipping out that Escort Redline that I won in their web giveaway a couple weeks back. Was sort of stressful for a while, as after I got the notice, and sent the notarized prize form back, I couldn't get any confirmation they'd received it for nearly a week.

Sounds like the person responsible was sick or otherwise away from their office. By a week I was climbing the walls because the original notice said if the prize wasn't properly claimed within ten days, they'd re-draw.

The waiting is always the hardest part. The custom Epco shift **** I ordered in March won't be ready until the 30th!

So I plasti dipped my rear emblem today (first time ever using the stuff), and frankly i dont think it came out too bad.

Still got some over spray to take care of on the vinyl stripes i got. (Stupid me didnt realize that the plast dip would stick better to my vinyl than the paint). Someone told me to try bug and tar remover.

Will most likely post a pic tomorrow (once i get all the over spray off). But I'm pretty happy with it

All you should need to do is wipe it with a microfiber cloth after it dries. Should all come right off, atleast it did on mine when I did the fender emblems

For anyone that hasn't voted in the board's Ride of the Month competition this month, I'm going to throw in a plug for 66RavenGTCoupe, who is currently in a dead heat in the voting.

Not only is it a beautiful car ('66 GT coupe):

Name: Rearandright_zps5f237df3.png

Size: 1.07 MB

But the owner, Daniel, had this sweet piece of American Iron shipped all the way to Australia. Now that's some Mustang devotion...

The Carolina Chapter guys have sort of "adopted" him, as the car is originally from their neck o' the woods, and I just want to see if maybe a few of us might throw a few votes his way to help break the tie

ROTM Voting thread is here: https://mustangforums.com/forum/ride...tm-voting.html
