The '05 and some '06 cars have them. Makes HID retrofits a bit nicer, as they block some of the HID capsule glare.

Cool, I was hoping that would be the case.

No problem.

My first HID setup was like that (aftermarket retrofit into housings with the '05-'06 shields). Worked really well.

When I went to the GT500 headlights with the new nose, the shield type weren't available (First GT500 came out in '07, which was the year they dropped that type). Fortunately a very generous friend hooked me up with a deal on a set of factory GT500 HIDs (required some rewiring, but worth the work vs. the non-shielded standard housings).

Torch yours is an 05 v6 5-speed right? Maybe you have my problem, sometimes when I'm coming to a stop (like just putting it in neutral from third) the engines revvs down but then pops back up to 2000rpms and just stays there for a while.

I've been told this is just normal for the transmission to wind down from higher rpms, but it just doesn't seem right, I've heard it only happens to 05 and 06 models, was wondering if you experience the same thing.

Well, it was a 5-speed until last year anyway. I swapped the transmission for a TR-6060 6-speed.

I honestly can't ever recall mine surging that high when going into neutral (or really surging at all then). I have been running aftermarket tunes almost as long as I've had the car though, and that might affect such behaviour.

The amount of extensive (and expensive) mods that you have done is making me extremely depressed haha. But thank you, I'm not to worried because I have a 4 year powertrain warranty on my pony

Extensive I can't dispute, probably not as expensive as you might believe.

I'm a pretty good shopper for parts deals, and the labor is 99% "sweat equity" work by yours truly. Not paying a shop $75+ an hour brings the total outlay down fast.

Yeah me and my dad do all the work to our vehicles, he has an 09 Dodge Challenger R/T. I guess its just because I'm only 20 years old that 1400$ for a part seems pretty steep haha
