I need to have some exhaust system tweaks done on my car tomorrow. Provided that gets done early, and I can reinstall the console (still out after the transmission install) and give the car a bath, I may try and make it.

Not making this. Was at the exhaust shop most of the day. Lou's in Waltham did an awesome job fabbing up what I wanted, but artistry and perfection takes time.

lou's does a great job...i've had people had exhaust systems installed elsewhere and have problems down the line, and others go to lou's and nothing...LOU'S FTW!!!

It's hard for me making blanket statements about Lou's since they're franchised and independently owned and operated. Some are better than others (I know one local one I wouldn't go to on any account).

The one in Waltham is completely amazing though. The guys there are all great, and Joe Marrazzo (one of the co-owners) is a true artist who just happens to use steel pipe as his medium. I can't begin to recommend them highly enough.

What do they charge per hour? I may go there to have my resonators welded in vice clamped.

I'm not sure what their exact hourly rate is, they seem to go more on the free estimate before starting work model, but they've always been extremely fair with me. They were on my car about six hours yesterday (I requested some very specific fab work, and they had to create the parts I outlined and pull the mufflers on/off the car several times for test fitting and final welding)

Total tab including materials and labor was $395

There was also a guy that came in with a Subaru while I was there, that had a minor crack near the cat. They welded it, and when he asked how much they told him not to worry about it, and that the pipe would need to be replaced within a year or two and just come back and see them then.

A quality operation imho.
