2010 has a new outside but basically the same engine wise, thats what he meant. I dont trust first year engines either. In fact when I was buying my stang, Ford told me to wait at least to get the Camaro because of the first year engine. I wonder what there selling point will be now to get people off camaros lol. I guess Chevy can use that one next year

that would be a little dealer bs....the ls3 has been used plenty times before.
But I agree, plus it won't take much at all to get a 2010 past a 2011, hell some members here are getting into the low twelves even high elevens with minimal mods, more so then the previous s197s.
To the op- Sorry to hear about your 07, but hey you got a great deal on a bad *** upgrade

Thanks everybody. Yeah, it could have been much worse.
I'm comfortable with a cosmetic redesign since much of the car is the same as the 05-09, i.e. engine, trans, etc...I'm definitely not saying the 2011 5.0 is destined for trouble, not at all....only that I try to err on the side of caution. I'd love to get my paws on that 5.0, but this was more of an unexpected event, so we just wanted to get back in a stang ASAP.

i think hes referring to the engine in this case.. the old 4.6 engine is still in since the 05s till present. he doesnt wanna be a guinea pig on the new 5.0 engine. i can see where hes commin from. i will be taking my first step into the world of Mustang hopefully this upcomming week. im looking at an 2010GT Kona blue.. i thinik ill pop in down to the dealer and get a brochure
