I just bought a 1967 Convertible and need to ship it about 200 miles from mid-Ohio to SE Michigan. I got two quotes directly (companies recommended by a major classic insurance company) and they quoted $650 and $730 enclosed. One guy suggesed I use uship.com but various forums have indicated there are a lot of uninsured and less careful shippers out there. I'm looking for a good price and I suppose (?) I could accept open transport - the car's in good shape, but it is used after all. I am open to advice for shippers or websites for this rather short haul. Thanks - I always get great advice on this site.
