I live in Crystal Lake IL, does anyone know where the closest track is?

If you're close to Chicago, try Union Grove in WI, it's just across the border.

Either Byron Dragway or Union Grove WI. But there is also RT66 in Joilet, I think it is further than the other two for you bit it is a really nice track.

$20-40 depending on the track.
