I can't see how the cost to do that would be worth it...

Not the mention the fact that, after all this trouble, you still short on power IMO.
Get in the 500hp neighborhood with any mill that will get you there is more reward to the effort...

I have too much in my suspension is why, and a car that is nearly paid off. This is a very appealing swap for some. If only I could find a wrecked '11 V6!

Why not add a supercharger/turbo or H/C/I then? There's a lot of potential

Found a wrecked '11, as well as many 05+ GT's and even a Shelby, all for around 2-7 k(except the GT500) in cali.. Complete cars! Thought about a supercharger, but for 5k I could get an 8.8 w/ trak-lok, 6 speed, all the wiring and the engine, and a lot more power potential.

I don't understand why people ask this question a bazillion times. It is always the same answer: NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. It is not like its some bolt on modification. You are replacing the whole freaken engine, transmission, computer, and god knows what more. Sure it'd be a fun "project" but in the long run its not near the hassle. You people worry about money when this type of project would cost more and produce less desirable results.. And for attachment value, once you get into a faster and more powerful car, you'll grow more attached to the new car. Half the fun of having a car is modding it, so save yourself the trouble and buy a 11 or 12

No, no, no, NO no. NO. do it and I shall swat you across the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

Bad puppy, BAD!

If anything, go for the crate 5.0. Better yet, sell it and start over. Money ahead.

Do whatever you want. It`s your car and your money. You can do with it what you please.

Now if it were mine and I really wanted to keep the car and the non-engine mods I had in it I would definitly go with a crate motor of whatever size is wanted. The ability to have a new engine I install and I break in and I know what is in it is worth it every time. I wouldn`t spend more but I would get more out of it.
