I bought a 92LX with a 351w 5 speed. It was originally a 4cyl auto. I've worked out most all of the wiring mistakes from the previous owner. Now i need to figure out how to get the reverse lights to work. All i've done so far is piggy backed the plug with no success. The bulbs are good. Any help would be appreciated.

 

My 90 4 cylinder had I believe a four wire plug into the trans, and the reverse lights are on that plug. You would need to find that plug either under the car, or possibly under the center console if they pulled them back into the car. I pulled mine back into the car under the center console for now so they would not get caught on anything hanging below. They go through the trans tunnel close to to the gas pedal along with the 2 wire plug for the cruise control module on the speedo cable. If I remember correctly, both the hot and ground wires are on that plug. You should just have to hook those two wires to the reverse switch on the 5 speed trans and be good.
