I've got a 1999 Ford Mustang gt thats been swapped over to a jegs 5.0 motor with a crane cam, holly street avenger carb, 2500 stall converter and some other stuff, I just got it yesterday and drove it home almost a 3 hour trip, it cruised at 70 turning about 2k rpms, but when id roll into the throttle a little bit it would make almost like a chirping/tick sound until the rpms built over 2500 and then level out and go, and it seems kinda sluggish for a 5.0 honestly, also a gassy Kind odor in the car when its cruising, not like a raw gas smell though, any help or advice?
