I understand they weigh quite a lot. I'd rather get a convertible, but some might opt for it.
In the end, it's just a gimmic to keep the cars selling until the 2010 Mustang comes out. The buzz in first quarter 2009 will be the new Camaro. Ford needs to do whatever it can to keep interest up until the 2010 model arrives later in 2009.

I don't see it as a gimmick. It's an option. Options are good. About 2 months ago I bought a GT/CS and would have bought that option if it was available. Get the sunshine ride like a convertible without the bad sun rays and wind.
