IMO, I think Ford needs to do a 5.4 option for the GT. I read somewhere that the only reason they didn't do a ecoboost v6 was because it would put out like 365HP when the 5.0 Coyote is only slated for like 405HP.

I just find it sad that the 2011 V6 will have more crank HP than my GT

Someone looking at a V6 is going to buy one when they want one because it's in their time frame. They're not as likely to "hold out" like a GT owner would. V6 sales make up about 60-70% of Mustang sales year after year (and has so for decades) so while there may be more physical inventory of V6's, in proportion, it's still less than the GT's compared to total unit sales.

For every 10 v6 stangs that are on the lot, there are probably 5 GT's right now, that's not good for the GT, for every 10 there should only be 3 maybe 4 GT's on the lot.

As for the 3.7, Ford dumped the 4.0 to compete with the Camaro (and challenger). V6 owners tend to be more of an apples to apples bunch as in..Car A cost this much and car B costs this much. What am I getting if both cars cost the same? The Camaro had several advantages, MPG (being the biggest for that group), interior, newest Direct Inject technology, power is way at the bottom but Ford couldn't take the 4.0 and make it do what the 3.7 was built to do from the ground up.

Wish you guys luck on the 2011 GT with a 5.0 but I am happy with my 2010. Plenty fast with all the cops and radar around nowdays. Not like the old days. Haha

Did'nt you hear, The US government canceled it in the interest of turning Ford blue into Ford green. They are replacing it with a brand new electric mustang....Keep your electric bill up to date or you will be walking...lol

Rumor has it that Ford is cancelling the Coyote 5.0 because they can make the same power as their current V8s with the new 3.7L V6...lol...

Or maybe they've chosen that GT stands for "General Transportation" and thus the new V6 is the only "GT" that we need.
