Hey guys,

just looking around and it seems that the gt350 back in 66 sells today for waaaaay more than a regular 289 fastback. So I was wondering, what are the actual differences between the two based on body style, interior, engine etc? was it like todays mercedes where there is a optional AMG package? just as an example.

I wouldn't compare it to mercedes. Try a new mustang GT and a new Shelby GT500

The fact that it has the world "Shelby" on it means that its worth more, theres thousands of run of the mill 289 fast backs but theres only a few hundred shelbys runnin around.

the shelbys had the motor beefed up for more HP. a different hood, different decklid, different front valances, the interior was changed, a roll cage was installed, the suspension was beefed up, different wheels and tires, plus alot of little things
