yes it puts down some nice numbers but a cobra with pulley and tune you will get 450 rwhp that is cheaper than the mods on the 5.0 and those mods are very minimal but still are making the same numbers a stock cobra make. would i love to have a 5.0 yes but am i going to go out and sell my cobra to get one hell no. i would rather have my low compression twin screwed 4.6 over a high compression n/a 5.0

Where did you read this at? Everything that I've read says cast aluminum...not forged.

Thats the same spec sheet that i posted when you first realized that this motor had forged rods stock, and it in fact says cast aluminum pistons...just curious to where you are reading that at.

Cast aluminum pistons are not only weaker, more costly, and harder to produce, from a business and performance stand point forged is the way to go. Pretty sure it's forged.

It doesn't specify saying it's cast or forged either. Just would make sense.

"Pistons Cast aluminum" Says it right above where it says forged connecting rods. Take a look again.

Waits for all the LS Buttsniffers to chime and say '' Well my LS1 has been hitting 400 n/a with cams , bolt ons and a tune for 10 + years .... blah ... blah.

The new 5.0 is gonna be a monster but I will be putting funds away for the 3.7. 30 MPG , plus adding a turbo and you have a nice *** daily driver.

I would love to see a low compression twin screw version of this new 5.0L. Too bad the 03-04 cobras didn't come with one instead of that heat soaking roots.
