Picked up a tugsten grey 2006 GT a little over a month ago, still stock. Previously have had a '95 cobra. Ever since I saw "Bullit" as a kid, I knew that was the car I wanted... and my dad's no better, he's had a Fox-body LX 5.0, an SN95 cobra and a '99 cobra. He's the only other person I've let drive my '06. I absolutely love the car so far... I feared the Fast and Furious crowd (of which there's a large contingent around here) would single me out, but there's also a couple of Mustang performance shops in the area, so they may have been taught some humility.

And, yes, I'm a cop; have been for over 10 years. Yes, I've written tickets for everything from no county decal to reckless driving and racing. Yes, I worked on a traffic unit for a year and a half. If you're worried that I'm here to narc you out, forget about it; I'm too damn busy with my current assignment to care. I might even give you a thumbs up if you pass me.

I'm not looking to seriously mod the car, but I am interested in getting up to around 400rwhp, and what I've read on the forum so far has helped a great deal in my decision making.

Heh... certainly not in my current G-ride; an un-marked 2000 Ford Explorer that's been wrecked three times (by other officers). Hits the rev limiter at 110. [:@] I call it Macbeth... full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. My traffic car was an '03 Crown Vic with a K&N, drilled airbox, and Diablosport chip; which made it marginally acceptable. My agency's about to take delivery of two Hemi Chargers... which I'll probably never get to drive.
