I bought a 96 GT last June. In July we put in 2001 Gt motor. I also have 40 series flowmasters and a mac cold air intake. I have 3:73's, bbk underdrive pulleys, and a bassani x-pipe but they have yet to be installed. Best time with them car thus far is a 14.2 @ 99.7. Hopefully naturally aspirated 13's here soon!

 

Yeah... you should get into the 13's with a new rearend, but everyone here will tell you to go with a 4.10 and not 3.73. Sounds like a good ride. Get us some pics.

 

Yeah, I didnt know which rear-end I wanted. I went with the 3:73's because this is my everyday driver, and I didnt want to suffer too much with gas. But thanks for the info, I'll take all I can get...

 

For mainly street use I'd go with 3.73's also good choice buddy.... I've got 4:10's in my daily 5.0 and man it does get old.... Fun at times but bad gas mileage and highway speeds.....
