Hey all, I'm the new girl on the block. Two weeks ago I bought a 2003 Dark Shadow Grey GT convertible....it's a very sweet car, only had 6600 miles on it.

It's not my first Mustang. Lucky for me, when I was 16, I inherited my older brother's Red 89 LX 5.0, because my other brother convinced him that a red convertible with a white top is a girls car!

Also lucky for me, today when I left my apartment, I decided to take my old 4-Runner instead of the 'stang, because I was rear ended on the freeway! My neck is sore, but mostly I'm ok, but I shudder to think how bad it would have been in the 'stang. Plus the heartbreak it would have caused me!

Glad to know there's a place where other people are as geeky about their cars as I am!

i agree with Trip. this is a GREAT place to come if you have any problems with your car, if you want to vent about anything(off topic) and just to chat with fellow 'Stang lovers like yourself. glad your ok, glad it wasnt the GT, you might have had to hurt somebody. but, glad your ok. and welcome to the forum.

Hey, thanks. The guy at Toyota eyeballed it and gave me an estimate of $3000 worth of damage, but they haven't put it up on the rack yet or anything, so it might end up being more than that. Both the tow truck driver and the body shop guy were suprised at the amount of damage to the tow bar, so the guy hit me pretty hard...

at least your ok...my last car wreck was in a 2000 Plymouth Breeze...I rear ended an 18 wheeler...the back end of the truck was on the other side of my steering wheel...I wound up with a broke femur and a metal rod from my knee to my hip...at least I can predict the weather now

Welcome and glad you didn't mess up your Stang and that you are in one piece. Hope you have better luck with the body shop than I did getting my truck repaired.
