Default RE: Hello Guys

Hey Mustangers,

I'm a new guy from Severna Park, Md. My ride is a 64 1/2 Poppy Red "resto mod" cvt. I've done the usual trick engine upgrades, most all were completed before the "347" period of upgrades.
I wanted to respond to another post, wherein, the "postee" suggested the accelerometers (G-Tec, Autometer D-Pic) etc. were referred to as "crap". This might be, if one were to only make alterations or changes and be satisfied with a "one time" adjustment.
I think the value is more in the differences noted when changes or experimentation has taken place. For example, recurbing the distibutor, would you not want to know the affect of this? how about, adjustments to dist. vacuum canister for low end improvements? How about AFR adjutments?
If nothing else, one could get a sense of improvments or losses , if just noting the chhange in the gauge readings?
Anyone else thinking this way or not?

ken Ash...

Hey Merc,
Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I 've been posting over at these other sites. Theyare pretty good as well. http://sbftech.com/index.phpand http://www.fordmuscle.com/TechDepartment/engine.php.
I've been looking at the car show s down on Kent Island. Have you gone to any of them? As I write this, I'm in the middle of a 331 stroker upgrade. I lost a cam, that wiped out the bearings, oil pressure etc.
What are you running?
