New Guy!
sup guys/girls,
Im not yet a mustang owner but am in the midst of saving for my downpayment on it. im planning ontrading my Focus in onan 07 GT Coupe. my question is what is the best bang for my buck in terms of transmission?. Im learning how to drive stick right now but im still edgy on buying manual for the fact that im not the most multitaskable person. Is there a big difference on 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers between the two? an also what kind of gains could i see from basic add ons? (intake, exhaust, ect.?)
Thanks for any and all info,
-Andy

I have the auto and it is the best auto trans in any car that I've ever owned period(and I've owned quite a few). After 25 years of driving, I am pretty good with a stick but I would say that unless you're a Jeff Gordon or Dale Jr., you're not going to outshift the auto. I did learn from some posting/searching earlier today(which I thought was true anyhow)that we give up a few ponies to the rear wheels but I doubt if it makes a huge difference. Of course, if I was 20 years younger, I'd probably want the stick anyhow, LOL. Good Luck with your purchase! Oh yea, the auto was a $995 sticker add on mine, so that may play a part in your decision.
