files too large!

every time i try to add a picture to my profile it tells me that the file i selected is too large!
can someone help me out here and tell me what i can do.
I'm not very smart with computers.

use a photo editor like photoshop, or paint shop pro to change the image or canvas size..

I figured it out. Can't wait for the summer time so i can get some more pictures on here. an fill up my profile.
