Hey
Whats up?
I found a link to this forum when I went to probetalk.com to look up something for a friend of mine, lol.
My name's Jon, and I own a yellow '98 GT (obviously). I've done a few minor upgrades in the past two years since buying my car. The first thing I did was go for some better suspension, so I picked up the Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs, which took it down an inch or two...I didnt like how it sat so high. Next, I swapped out the stock h-pipe for a Bassani catless x-pipe, and a custom catback with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and stainless steel tips. That gave it a nice agressive low tone. That wasnt enough though, so I spent a weekend with a few buddies installing a set of BBK shorty headers...that job was a bitch to say the least, but it was well worth it. Then I put in some 8mm yellow Accel plug wires for a little better spark and more color in the engine bay. Last, (though should have been first I guess) I bought a $20 CAI off ebay which started out blue and now is polished aluminum. Works just as good as the more expensive ones, and looks about as good too.
I've done some other little things, like bought the tinted headlights, painted/clearcoated my calipers a bright yellow, and installed the taillight sequencer mod...its all good.
I dont have any special brand of tires on at the moment, but once spring rolls around, Im thinking I'll get a set of something with nice looking tread and maybe white lettering.

RE: Hey
Thanks! Yeah, I had a sweet rio red '93 PGT until about '04 when the engine died...I'd been through 3 engines already with that car, so I sold the body and got a loan for my '98 I have now. I think the 'stang is more fun anyway, but it just sucks that I cant drive it in the winter, lol.
