Need New Tranny?

Hi, IM New in This site I have a 88 Mustang GT 5.0 5 speed tranny that has been giving me some problems with second gear 1st, 3rd, 4th,and 5th are shifting just fine but when i go to second it grinds nasty, it goes in but with grinding involved i know my syncrone is bad on that gear and i don't want to spend alot of money getting it fixed does anyone know where or what i can do????? Help me out.
