Thinking about going mustang.
Hi all.
Currently i own an old school Subaru Impreza. This car still has value, so i'd feel bad about wrecking it, as in i'm still paying on the car. That didnt stop me from modding the crap out of it. I can catch up with STi's in the twisties at this point, but on a straight line my car just sucks. Modding this car is not a cheap thing either. Hitting 250whp is a $5k+ ordeal.
Anyway. I found a 1984 mustang for sale with a 5.0 carbuerated engine, automatic trans, T-tops. The most attractive thing about it is the price....$850.
And i'm coming here to ask some questions. Keep in mind this would become a daily driver/track ****. If its not reliable enough to be daily driven thats a-ok too.
Is it likely this thing could be a reliable daily driver?
Are there any common problems with the AT transmission?
is the carberator really sensitive to altitude changes (i live in denver)?
Is the chassis relativly the same as the 88-92 model years?
"people" say these handle like crap stock, can they be modded to handle corners well?
how expensive [ballpark] to swith from carb'd to EFI?
thanks for anything you guys can answer!
