Need advice: Should I order an '07 or an '08 GT?

Welcome to MF.
Since there are no changes between years, the change over on the production line will be seamless. One day the crew is building '07s, the next morning it'll be '08s.
I do find it funny that you're more worried about resale value and you haven't even bought the car yet. And that you'd rather get a car in Sept so you can park it, than get one now, at the start of the driving season. I don't think we should let you buy a Mustang, maybe a Focus is more suited for you .
