I have a 86 GT 5.0. automatic I has a pretty mean bark but the but the bite just isn't there can anyone tell what i might do to improve the performance of my pony. Someone said a sest of 373 gears would help?. Any info would be helpful.

since the older 5.0s arent full foller motors there a little harder to make faster so if you had the money i would go with a 88-92 motor since there full rollers but for a bargain gears would make a big difference, also you could add exhaust,CAI,and an upper and lower intake to help

Welcome aboard

Start out with some gears then just switch to CAI, then get right on the exhaust...if you get upper and lower intake plenum it won't make much of a difference unless you get some new aluminum heads to go with it...a cam helps too
