Welcome aboard!
Good luck on the project!
The 429 is a sweet motor (what year/version do you have?).
Had one for 15 years in a 70 Torino.
Hookers, 3" pipes, only thing it couldn't pass was a gas station.
Make sure your tranny can handle the power and torque.
Stock the 429 TJ had 490 lb/ft of torque!
What are you going to do to bolster the front end?
That block weighs a freakin' ton (wellover 500)...

The motor is out of a bus , its a 79' I think. It was actually setup for propane and has low miles on it so it is super clean. I am just going to lap the valves and replace the valve seals, do a little porting and change the cam to a voodoo hydraulic, probably around .510 lift 290deg. and replace the head gaskets, ect. Going to use a performer rpm intake and hooker headers. The headers for this swap are very expensive but I think hooker is the only company that makes them for this application. I will probably use a C6 trans and a currie 9 inch rear. As far as the front end goes, I'm not sure, I may have to find some stiffer springs. The motor will be installed with motor plates instead of the regular mounts and the car is getting frame connectors and a 10 point cage so it will be beefed up pretty well

Good on the C6... had a shift-kit in mine... Could burn 2nd and 3rd...
.510 lift? That is gonna sound MEAN as Hell!!!
Had 2 piece hookers on mine... took 2 days for my mechanic to put them in (good thing the deal wasn't hourly!).
That is gonna be one badass Mustang!
Keep us up to date on the progress.
