Default new Project

Well my daily driver is a 92 GT, with bbk chrome shortie heddersm a k&n air fliter, and 3.73 gears. She has been faithful the last 3 years with only minor hiccups here and there. Im 22, in the navy, and stationed in virginia beach but cant wait until I go home to GA. Now my new project is a 90 LX 5.0 hatchback, its 2001 GT silver metallic, it already has a 5 lug conversion with 2001 GT rims. The interior needs to be put back together and it needs new heads. It has a 5.0 speed with a short throw shifter. Here are the mods i want to do to it, tell me if its a good combo.

BBK 1 5/8 longtubes with matching short offroad X-pipe.
2 chamber flowmasters.
New BBK SSI intake manifold.
70mm throttle body
70mm MAF
AFR 165 heads
Optima redtop
3.55 gears
subframe connectors
Cobra 1.7 roller rockers
Lunati cam with .220 intake and exhaust duration
electric fan
K&N air filter
190LPH pump
24lb injectors
Lowering springs to drop it bout a half inch
and i want to get 2001-2003 cobra rims for it.

Now I dont actually have the car yet, this is just an outline for it if i sell my 73 firebird. Oh yeah and I already have a nitrous kit for it, LOL. Well tell me what everone thinks please. Im sure everyone will see me on here frequently. bye.

You missed tires, unless it comes with nice one's. And I don't see control arms on there anywhere, dunno if that's as much of a prob on the fox bodies though. Other than those your list looks nice, threw in everything but a blower and the kitchen sink .

Welcome to the forums.

Hey sorry,
Your right I forgot tires. I have been thinking bout that alot I havnt made any decisions yet, maybe falken z-rated. And yes the car will get brand new upper and lower control arms, as well as new sway bars with polyurethane bushings. And maybe a supercharger a lil down the road when i can afford one.

Welcome. I too have a 1990, but mine is a GT. I just spent $3000. on parts for my Stang. I have a thread in the off topic section. It's called resto-modding. You can find the parts I bought for mine in there if you want something to compare to.

BTW fellow Military man myself on active duty with the Army Nat'l Guard.

Have fun posting.
