Welcome.... You might post you mustang questions in one of the other tech/general discussion forums. You may get more answers. Also reading many of these tech threads and many other related threads will yield lots of info on mustangs. Good Luck!!!

The auto will yeild about 80 percent of the power, where 90 percent is more often the Manual so there is more direct power available.

Also Manuals allow you to run much better setups, due that the auto tranny is not in the way of say headers or something else.

If at all possible hook up a T-56 or TKO 600, anything else will be effectively ruined under any serious build ups like a Supercharger.

Well also the other thing is that the Automatic may have stall issues, where a Manual will always be a clutch pedal away. I'd say Manual is far more sporty and worth it than an auto, but some disagree.

And alot of the time the Mustang with a Turbo will win, Procharger or Vortech next, and Paxton or Kenne Bell are traditional labels, where Kenne Bell Dominates the Cobra's and Paxton supports alot of GT's.

I have a 2002 Mustang GT (auto). I do like 5 speeds more than automatics, but put a Diablo tuner on your car and it takes away the throttle lag of the automatic transmission. I guess its all in the eye of the beholder. If it was my choice get a five speed they are way more fun to drive.
