Default Honda guy looking for a Mustang....

Hi guys,My name'sRyan and I'm thinking about buying an older5 litre.I drive an integra currently but I'm not your typical honda guy! A friend of mine has a really nice '89 5.0 trunk version, and he wants $4500. Its got about 80K on it, new paint, X pipes, new bilsteins, and some nice cobra wheels and rubber. Overall the car is really nice. I frequent the road course track, and have been running integras for a couple seasons and they work quite well in the corners. The current car is quite capable at the track, but I've always been a sucker for Mustangs, and would love some torque on a daily basis.

My question is, are the early 5.0's reliable as daily drivers? This one is solid and well kept - minus the odd burnout! Can they be made to handle well with a few parts? I dont need recommendations, because its a bit far off. I just thought I'd introduce myself and get some feedback.

Thanks,

Thanks for any comments.

Welcome Ryan! Sure they are reliable as long as whoever had it before you mantained and and you continue to do the same. Good luck.
