I am thinking about adding some 18" american muscle wheels to my tang. I will have to go to low profile tires and have never owned them. Any up or downsides to them? Any suggestions on what brands are best? Also I want my mustang to have more than just a purr, I want her to growl. I am thinking about flowmaster... any suggestions there? Thanks guys, Tiffy

Welcome to MF's. My flowmasters have a nice growl but the interior noise sucks. Your tire question can be answered better in the tire forum or general discussion area.

Iv got the flowmasters custom for the 05+ gt's and theyr great. i was pretty impressed for the money i spent. I think there was a slight hp gain too which is nice.

I bought a set of Nittos 555 from american muscle. I went from the stock 17 to 18 inches. Obviously, the lower profile tires will make the road feel different, but you get used to it. Welcome.
