Default Hey Everyone...

Im a newb but old i origanlly signed up back in 06 but my computer went down and i just got around to buying a new one..lol...
Anyway my name is Lance, im from Connecticut. I have had a bunch of mustangs and all...My latest feat was a 4cyl conversion...I had a 92lx that i had ended up twisting up the frame a bit because of lack of my subframes...ooops...too many track visits i guess...So i found this 87lx 4banger turbo...I was thinking restore it to orginal or just swap it out with all the 92s parts since the car was no good anyways...After months of continplating the ideas i started to tear into the 87, pulling the motor gutting the crappy tan interior, ripping out the drivetrain, rearend, wiring, windowsas they were non powered....Here it was toward the end of fall starting to get cold so i just stopped working on it with the car totally gutted no windows no hood nothing on it im like dam it i need to put at least the hood on and get it covered for the long winter ahead...O that didnt happen...I pulled the motor out of the 92 trans and all attached threw it in the shed and started the conversion process....I ripped all the interior out and put it in the basement, now the fun part pulling the wiring out of the car without destroying it in the process...Hmmmmm...Ok thats done...Now to reinstall the wiring back in to the 87......no fun i tell you...i never removed any of the plastic vent boxes behind the dash...not a recommended procedure...after hours of running that was done...soo to make a long story short this conversion started on Oct 21st i finished it November 12th....and the pig started up on the first turn of the key...Of course there were loose ends to be finished up but for the most part it was moveable...

now all thats left is to get it painted but i havent had the itch to get back into since....but thats all about to change this spring....

the car has306 with ported and polished gt40p heads the cast iron version, ported and polished lower gt40,ford racing F cam, gt40 upperwitha 75mm tb, 80mm mass air, 24lb injectors, msd 6al, 3.73 ford racing gears, t5 world class tranny, 190lph fuel pump, spec racing clutch, maximum motor sports UCA and LCA, maximum motorsport subframe connectors, Eibach drag springs, tubular front k member, flaming river rack&pinion

hope you like my ride

yeah the wiring is a pandoras box in it self....opening a bad can of worms or what ever you wanna call it...its not for the weak mind but for the ones who have a mission and a goal....and the remembering of where each wire goes and where it plugs into is a feat in its own....but i like to do that stuff i like the challanges it brings, thats my first whole conversion car, i have done a 4 to 8 swaps before but that was much different with gutting the interior and all....

and having my 92 as the donor car basically side by side was a big plus but when you start unpluging and i knew the cars history and everything that had gone in to the 92 was all brand new parts...
