Hey, I'm new here...and I was thinking about getting a Mustang GT 2006. I'm 21 by the way. I wanted something different from what we in Ireland normally see on the roads (i.e - Impreza's/Evo's etc.) but I want an American car so I thought I'd join here....obviously I know what answer's I'll get in here.

Anyway, someone advised me not to get one in Europe because of our small roads and sharp corners which are different to the US's wide and long stretches....do Mustangs do well at corners, I heard the handling is a little "ropey".

Thank you in advance for any replies or info....I don't know a huge amount about cars in general.

 

Welcome! dosent it cost a lot to import a mustang there? Also what do you mean by ropey?

 

Dont lots of cornering around here, but how about repair parts..how easy are they to get there? Welcome.

 

welcome! I say if you have the money to import one then it would make a great car for ya! I wouldnt worry about cornering, it should be just fine. Its not much larger than an STI/Evo, and the handling on the new ones isnt bad. You can always do a little suspension work on it as well. I think you will be happy with one though by the sounds of it. Good luck deciding!
