Default New GT from Houston. Advice?

Hey guys i just purchased my first new car about 2 months ago!! 08 black mustang gt manualand i love it. So far, I have put some 20" BZO Elite with nitto 555 tires, a sound system and my carbon fiber hood gets here tomorrow. Performance wise, just a granatelli cold air intake. About a tuner, do i need one? supposedly you do not need one with this intake, but if it helps i'd like to get one. Also, what are some mods I could do to get it running 1/4 mile 13 flat or close? How much would you say they cost?

Thanks,

The tuner is always going to help. If you go to the track you can bump it up to a 93 "race" application, then downgrade to whatever tunes you have loaded on it when you leave, unless you want to drive around with that tune all day. I've heard of plenty GT's running 13's with very little done. Those Nittos will help, but the wheel weight won't. If an exhaust is on your to-do list that would help, or if anything just open it up a little and give a better sound. Its always easier to do the simple things first, see where you're at, then go from there.

Since the SCT tuner does not have a "granatelli intake" option, do i have to get a custom tune? What does the 93 tune do for you versus the 87? Also, i am trying to see if i can get headers and pipes installed at a dealer ship , or else it voids warranty right?
