New from Central CA with an '80 convertible
Here's my real '80 convertible. Rare, only 1200 made. Just bought it Frday. 35K original miles! Very nice shape. Debating having it painted or not. Has parking lot dings. Made by Intermeccanica and called the Cabrioin July of 80 under contract of Ford. Sold for $14K in 1980! 100% original! Factory AC, Tilt, Cassette Radio. Where's the build sheet Located? It's a inline 6/Auto. No rust. Tops sits under the hard boot on the back (like Mercedes SL). Needs a fabric new top cover...It's weathered. Any information would be great to have!

Howdy!
I'm not able to see the pictures, but it sounds like a great car! I have an 82 hatchback with the inline 6 and auto and wanted to get a comparison on performance to see if mine needs work or if I'm getting all 88hp out of her. Going up a medium grade from a dead stop I can have my foot almost to the floor and only get to about 35 mph. I just don't know if this is typical performance from that engine and transmission. I know the 6 is no performance engine, but I just want everything I can get out of it. Is yours similar?
Thanks,
Dan
