Default New stang guy here 95gt

Just got my 95gt and im loving it. This is coming from a former import guy(240sx with sr20det swap if it even matters). This car is awesome but im a total noob to this car. So i got some basic ?'s.

Would like some opinions on the 95gt.....did i get the stud or the slug of the stangs? lemme know. Is 95 a good year....

Exhaust.......im looking at the SLP system and the magnaflow....if read up on these 2 and they sound favorable. Need opinions and also looking for places to get grat deals on these 2 systems.

Mods....im looking to jus run 13.7s-ish with this car wiithout too much and without destroying any sensors or do too much tuning. Need some ways to get there......anything plz i know i need gears, but what are some real effective mods. i have a smog connection so smog dont matter, just wanna keep the car very stockish for reliable reasons.

x-pipe/h-pipe....whats the best one i want no cats....but will that work with my car...what about 02 sensors....ses....anything plz enlighten.

Ive searched around and found great info. Hope someone can help me out out there. Thanks all and howdy!

Congratulations Ben,

I would rather have purchased a 95, than a new 2003 GT, you didnt eat the depreciation, like I have mentioned before, these things depreciate very very fast, that is great for guys like you, but sucks for guys like me. I dont much care for my 2003 but that is my own opinion.

Good Luck & enjoy !

With you having occasional meets, 3.73's are a good choice, maybe even 3.90's, but only a few companies have those. As for the 13.7ish, you will have to do quite a bit for those numbers. Gears will help you alot, but you will need cold air intake, underdrivepulleys, bigger throttle body, exhaust, and a shifter will help you find thosegears faster andmore accurately. And I doubt just those mods will get you to 13.7, but maybe.. If you can drive well, it will help. Check out Roush performance catalog, they have all of the above. Good luck, and congrats on your new car...
