Hi guys. just joined to gather some solid FORD information. I'm building a hotrod and will need tech help. The only thing i know about FORDS is i had a 66 Falcon with a 170 1bbl in highschool. the thing was bullet proof. I now want to look into a mustang IFS rear for my hotrod. i think that might be cool. Any inputs on what a used one of those will cost for parts.
Welcome to the board!
Due to the massive variety of Ford muscle cars tat are out there today, you might be best to look into limiting yourself to a set of constraints, such as:
Do you want to build a modular block? (such as the 4.6L?)
Or do you want to stay with pushrods? If so, do you want to go big block or small block?
Then there are other considerations such as application: Is your car for street-rodding?
Or some street and some strip/track?
Or totally off-road (non-street, strip/track only)?
By choosing some constraints, that will greatly help your information gathering.
Of if you are willing, you can simply dive in and read as much as possible, there are tons of great info here on everything, it's just that there is so much that it is overwhelming.
