New Member, reading and learning...
I just joined the forum and a couple other mustang forums reading as much and learning before I “hope” to trade my 2010 Taurus SHO for a new GT or more….
I have had my current 2010 Taurus SHO since 11-09 and love it. I’ve added a couple of tunes which I’ve bought from Livernois Motor Sports and from Unleashed Tuning. Both tunes wake up this car. Since I do not have a awd dyno near me….but I’m guessing the tunes add 70+ horsepower at the crank. Ford says the car puts out 365 at the crank…guessing a 30% loss in the tranny….so realistically I’m guessing the car puts out 290+ to the street.
But in this short time of ownership…..I WANT MORE!!!!
Exhaust and a CAI really do not add much more power to the car for the upfront cost….
So now I’m researching my next car….and that is going to be a mustang….
I’ve drove a 2011 GT500…and was very impressed but is it really worth the extra 10+K above a premium GT???
My downside is I have a hard time adding mods….and this is really due to a wife that keeps asking….”What & Why do you need to spend the money on that???” My answer is usually…..”It’s cheaper than the boat we the boat we used to own”
So that’s where I stand…researching…. And hopefully by the end of the year…switching to the Mustang!!
