Brembo package
#21
Here is an example that I'm sure everyone can relate to. We've all seen the commercial where 4 teflon plastic discs are placed under a vehicle that is on carpet, and the moderator pushes the car across the carpet with less effort than would normally be necessary to move the same vehicle. What the discs do is lower the coefficient of friction, enabling the car to be moved with less force than normal. The car has not changed weight, only the coefficient of friction has changed. This same principle applies to stopping the vehicle. Tires with a lower coefficient of friction will take longer to stop a car. The only limiting factor to the loading of each tire is the compressive strength of the rubber, which acts like a spring. The coefficient of friction stays relatively the same, irregardless of the weight.

Most 18" wheels will not fit the brembo equipped mustangs. You will need to order a GT500 wheel or knock-off. 19 x 9.5 wheels with a .45 offset will fit. Vorshlag.com has 10" wheels that were specially made for the brembo mustangs that will fit. This is an 18 x 10" wheel. You can fit a 285/35ZR18 on the fronts, and if you're going for the staggered look, 305/40ZR18 in the back. 19" tires are very expensive and hard to get, so you may want to get the 18" tires.

I was originally gonna get the Brembo's but after seeing the wheels in person I don't much care for the package anymore. You ONLY get Brembo's on the front brakes which I think they took the cheap way out.
I personally like the dark painted multispoke wheels they sell. They don't come with TPMS or tires but, I figured it'd be easy to switch everything over from the stock wheels to the others.
Right now I'm just going with a Base GT with 3.73's and the dark painted wheels and that's it.
