I live in the Orting area near Puyallup.
However I work in Seattle so I have a major commute.

A commute I now enjoy. I didn't before though, the car I was driving before this was ummmmm......
a VW New Beetle complete with a flower in it. (We bought it for my wife but she didn't like driving it so I drove it)
Some of my Seattle area commute is the driving equivalent to mortal combat. There are places in the commute that puts me in the position to have to floor something like a bug, then dive brakes and maybe have to floor it again to insert myself into the correct lane because the occupants of the lane will NOT let you in. Its a mean commute sometimes. If you don't get into the correct lane, you miss your onramp/offramp.
Well with my new Mustang, I just touch the gas pedal a little and it walks right by the traffic pack and I easily settle into the lane.
There was one incident that happened about 2 weeks after I got it, its a part of the commute on the way home that has a traffic light, 3 lanes of traffic and if you don't get to the right lane in about 500 yards, you miss the onramp and now you have to turn around. With the bug, I had to jockey for position to get to the middle lane to have a chance at the right lane once the light turned. If I was unlucky enough to have the far left lane, it was NOT gonna happen.
Everyone at that light, from grandmas to teens turns into a top fuel drag racer there.
I found myself in the Mustang in the far left lane. There was a modified Lexus in the middle lane. He had the big exhaust pipe and it seemed lowered. The light changed, I hit the gas (NOT street racing, simply trying to make my onramp)
The Mustang just walked away from them all and I easily got the right lane and made the onramp with time to spare. Wow that engine sounded amazing!
Mr. Lexus did NOT like it. He was riding my bumper all through the onramp. I got into the right lane on I5 and just let him pass me. He wanted to race but I just wanted the right lane.
I made my point to him, it was time to settle into my commute and listen to the nice stereo!

I think my big smile is what made him maddest of all.
This mean commute is a LOT easier in a mustang.
