After I drive a long distance or a long time, I park, then come back to go, my car shakes a lot and feels like its about to die if i dont put it in drive immediatley and go. It is like a rumbling feeling and the RPM meter goes all the way down and up, shaking the car and feeling like it is about to die. What do you think it is?

 

I had the same problem on my last Mustang. It was sporadic, like 1 or 2 days per month it would do that, then it would be fine again for a while. I never did figure out what the problem was before I sold it. So, I guess I'm not much help...!

 

Try the tech section. I hope you get it worked out.
