Default Will they fit?

I have a 93' cobra/gt convertible that's lowered an has suspension work done already. I bought the car pretty much as it is and the previous owner had put 17" cobra r rims on the back and 16" rims on the front. I want 17" all the way around for looks. I'm not sure if he simply done for weight or if the 17" rims up front will rub in the fender wells??? I believe the front has been lowered 1.5" in front and 2" in the rear.

Welcome to the forum. Have you thought about swapping your front tires to the back and back to front, just to see?

Well sometime the obvious stares u in the face and you sit think of creative answers and whys?? Lol no I did not. But I will do that. There's 5" of snow and ice in ohio right now so i wouldn't bramble to drive and see if they'd work on the road. But I guess it won't hurt to swap them and see. But I think the 16" wheels are 8" wide and the 17" are 9" wide plus a tire that overhangs the rim a 1/2" or so will possibly hit wheel wells and inner fender. Thanks for pointing out the obvious tho.
