Did you wind the motors yourself or find off-the-shelf motors, guessing they are not stock..? How long does it take to recharge the batteries, assume they are lead-acid?

Custom built DC motor.....
www.plumquick.com we build DC motors for Golf Carts.
Lead acid batteries, takes between 15 to 20 min. to recharge depending on the temperature.
