How's it going everybody, I'm new to the forums. Born and raised in the motor city, grew up in a GM family and I just bought my first mustang. I have a 98 4.6 dohc, in a gt body. I am currently in the process of fixing it up and making it road worthy.

I have a question you all. There are two what look to be spring loaded valves, like what you see for your throttle, on the back side of my engine. They are located on each side of the engine, by where the heads meet the block. They are not hooked up to anything, and I have no idea what they are. What are they?

I can't get a clear picture with the engine in the car. It doesn't seem to have been rebuilt, so I'm assuming those are stock. Just curious if anyone had an idea.
