Default Looking at buying a used mach 1, need advice

I have a 2001 mustang gt with high miles that I'm beyond bored with. It's time to get a new car but I can't afford a 2015 GT and I hate the look of the 05-14 models. Lately I've been looking at mach1's with low miles.

I found this one here http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...02833659&Log=0

but it's got a LOT of modifications. would it be a bad idea to buy? it has all the mods I would probably end up doing to a car anyways, so it's nice to not have to touch the car once I buy it. Price is too high IMO since you shouldn't have to pay extra for mods, but the miles are super-low and it looks to be in great condition. A lot of people say to stay away from cars that have performance mods since you can never tell if it's been abused or raced. Just need some opinions. Thanks

Edmunds lists dealer retail at just under $12,000, so to say it's a little over priced is mild, as they want double that.
It is very nice and clean looking, real low miles, if it was me I would say yes I'm serious and offer $15,000, and would not go a dime over $16,500, but hey that's me.
If you are looking at financing, go to several lenders to see how much they would loan on it, I bet it's no where near what they are asking.
Good luck.

That price is crazy. You could get a terminator for that. You could also get a 11-14 GT for that price. I know you said you weren't a fan but with over 400 hp it can grow on you. Throw some new wheels and a drop and you've got a bad a** ride.
Not a GT but you get the idea...

Ohh and most important that I forgot, repost this in the 1996-2004 section, a lot better chance of good input, than having it here in the meet and greet section.

I bought a 2012 GT premium certified for less. That's pricey. That's a very good looking car though but damn that's a lot of money.

I would look around more, and expand my search to at least a few hours from my location if I were you. You should be able to find low mileage Mach's in the teens (maybe high teens but at least they are stock).
