Default 95 Mustang Gts

I recently bought a 95 Gts and of course the moment I get it back home, I realize the odometer doesn't work. Where can I get a new speedometer with a new odometer? Or possibly a whole new gauge cluster.

@ brendan.sn95

The problem might be in a broken speedometer cable, so you might not need to buy the whole speedometer assembly.

Here is a link to replacement cables: https://www.carid.com/gauges.html?fi...D%5B%5D=Cables

I suggest you to check it with the local mechanic.

Did those cars really still have a CABLE? I think not, but could be wrong. Today, of course, there are no cables, no Vehicle Speed Sensors (to speak of), and somewhere between today and the 1990s, the cable & sensor went away. I'll crawl under my '94 tomorrow to check, but I expect I'll find a VSS, Vehicle Speed Sensor stuck into the tailhousing, with a connector and wires issuing from it. Later years, the VSS went away, in favor of speed data from wheel speed sensors used also for ABS. imp

@ imp

Right, it's 95...

Okay, here is what I managed to find for '95 Mustang:

Dorman® 924-388 - Odometer Drive Gear -
https://www.carid.com/dorman/odomete...n-924-388.html

and

ATP® Y-805 - Speedometer Cable -
https://www.carid.com/atp/speedomete...mpn-y-805.html

Please let me know which part you have and I will try to see if we can get it for you!

Yeah, I think the odometer gears are the more likely culprit here. They have a tendency to go bad after a couple of decades, and I had to replace mine just last year.

BTW, welcome to the forum!
